Warranty questions, answered
Can I service my own lift?+
Routine cleaning and daily/weekly/monthly inspections must be done by the operating company. More involved work, such as 6‑monthly servicing, replacing parts and LOLER examination, must only be completed by someone who is competently trained. To confirm if someone has been trained by PLS, contact our PLS Assist team.
When does my warranty expire?+
For lifts supplied in the UK, cover runs for 37 or 62 months from the date the lift is shipped from our factory. If your lift has been purchase via a convertor as part of an overall vehicle purchase please be aware that some time may have passed since warranty started. Lifts supplied outside the UK are covered for 2 years, parts only. You’ll find the serial number on the sticker fitted to your lift. Contact our team with your lift serial number and we’ll confirm the remaining warranty cover. Call us on +44 (0)121 552 0660 and we’ll check it for you.
Can I use my own parts and make repairs myself?+
Safety is our priority and we can’t guarantee it with non‑OEM parts. Each component is carefully selected and inspected for use. Using non‑standard parts could be unsafe and may invalidate your warranty. Genuine PLS parts are available from our parts shop.
My lift is behaving strangely — what can I do?+
Log a case with our PLS Assist team and we’ll talk you through simple diagnosis steps. Many issues can be resolved over the phone and some basic checks help us better understand your issue so we can resolve it first time.
