The wider ramp design provides several key benefits:

• Increased stability – The wider ramp platform offers wheelchair users more stability and confidence as they transition in and out of the vehicle. With the added width, there is less concern about wheels slipping off the edge.

• Improved manoeuvrability – The extra width allows more room to safely manoeuvre a wheelchair on the ramp without getting too close to the edges. This is especially helpful for larger power chairs.

• Future-proof design – As wheelchair designs continue to evolve, the 910mm width offers ample room to accommodate new chair dimensions and capabilities we may see.

One of our most popular ramps benefitting from the increased platform size is the PLS FL bi-fold ramp. Compact and easy to store, the FL folding hand-operated ramp helps the user to load and unload wheelchairs into the vehicle. With an auto lock mechanism, it is simple to operate, ensuring convenience and safety for our customers.
